From Pizza to Beef Tartare: 50 episodes of HINKY

Hello, ya little crostinis topped with beef tartare! On this episode, we celebrate 50 episodes of HINKY with a bang! We all treated ourselves to a fancy dinner at Tony's, a local steakhouse in Lexington, where Sara tried a couple of different foods and loved them all. We took a trip down memory lane back to the first episode (both the pilot episode and the one that actually made it to air), we discussed all of the events making their way back to town this spring, and we tried some Easter-themed cereal in a new mukbang-style segment. The podcast question makes us think about all the restaurants we've lost over the years that we really loved, and the cage match has us talking about our favorite pizza places in central Kentucky. The Green Episode

Hello, ya little Oreos! On episode 48 of HINKY, we're back in Fort Lewis studios for an in-person show. Renee got to check out the new Greyline Station downtown, and Carrie and Sara went to investigate the new Goodwood taproom on the south side of town. It's also Renee's birthday, so we discuss the societal norm of both texting AND writing Happy Birthday on someone's Facebook page. Carrie finally makes goetta (spoiler alert: it's good!), and we try some cereal in Everybody Tries. Snowmageddon 2021

Hello, ya little king cakes! On episode 47 of HINKY, the gang goes virtual as Lexington, KY has turned into a hellscape nightmare of ice and snow. Sara recounts her harrowing tale of trying to drive to work in 2 separate ice storms, Renee marks a local bakery off her bucket list, and Carrie is super bummed about not being able to run outside. We talk about Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras/Strove Tuesday and which local haunt low-key has amazing Cajun food, plus Sara does a solo Everybody Tries and a very special edition of the cage match called Mardi Gras Brawl. Poppin' Off

Who Up? Feat. The Bearded Bourbonaire

Hello, ya little donuts! On episode 44 of HINKY, the WHOLE gang is together once again in Fort Lewis studios! That's right, the Bearded Bourbonaire himself, Nate, drops by to say sayonara as he prepares to head to Japan with the US Air Force. We get into what it was like to go through basic training during a worldwide pandemic, how much bourbon one can take with them onto a military base, and what kinds of craft beer might be floating around Tokyo. We talk about eating at several local restaurants this past week, plus we snack on some Oreo-coated popcorn in Everybody Tries. Xmas Pickle

Hello, ya little Christmas morning breakfast casseroles! On episode 43 of HINKY, the gang has a relaxing hang out on our last episode of 2020. We recap the Wine & Pop-Tarts/Normal People/Bluegrass Bourbon & Eats presents: I'll Be Sheltering in Place for Xmas charity event, we shame Kroger for being out of literally everything except good charcuterie board cheese, and Renee tells us a couple of things that are happening in the Lexington area. We laugh about how Sara is fresh out of the eye doctor with cartoonishly large pupils and indoor sunglasses, and we try some oddly flavored Lay's potato chips in Everybody Tries. Renee leads us in picking our Christmas superlatives, and we answer the Podcast Question about are go-to Christmas morning meals. This leads us into a rare sighting of the Food Fight Cage Match, where we pit cinnamon rolls from a chain and a local joint together to see which one has the better roll. A Very Hungry Hanukkah
