Hello, ya little submarines! On Episode 69 (hehe) of HINKY, the gang starts out by going down a rabbit hole about...copyrighted music somehow. Don't worry, we get back to foodstuffs after a few minutes! We talk about things we want to experience on our food journeys in 2022, and we tease a new project that Renee and Sara are working on for this year. We discuss pop-up restaurants involving YouTubers and TikTok people and whether or not they will be a sustainable business, and we're still asking for more restaurants to put whipped feta on their menus. Renee reads us the news, we try Wendy's Frosty cereal, and we learn about some New Years' food traditions from around the world. We round out this episode out with a rousing edition of the HINKY Podcast Question, and we see how many times Sara can burp during the show without anyone noticing. What Are You, a Fruitcake?

Hello, ya little fruitcakes! On episode 68 of HINKY, the gang gets ready to celebrate both Christmas and New Years as we record the show the week of the holidays. We start off by sending our thoughts and condolences to our friends out in Western KY who lost everything after a devastating tornado hit the area a couple of weeks ago. If you have the means and want to contribute to relief efforts, there are lots of good places to donate your time, money and/or much-needed items for the victims out there. We talk about whipped feta and whether we think it's the new, hip appetizer, and Sara talks about a new local pizza place she tried in London. Carrie and Sara talk about recording episode 300 of Girls, Beer, Sports, and how crazy it is to have recorded so many episodes of a podcast. Renee tells us about some fun NYE activities happening in Lexington, and we run through a Christmas food bracket to see which dish (real or fictional) is the best one to eat. All I Want for Christmas is Cookies!

Hello, ya little sugar cookies! On episode 67 of HINKY, the gang is trying to get into the Christmas spirit. We recap our Thanksgiving meals and Carrie recounts her stomach saga. Less Offensive Than We Thought: the Thanksgiving Episode

Hello, ya little turkeys! On episode 66 of HINKY, the gang celebrates Thanksgiving! We start out by saying what we're thankful for, which is all of this year's guests and all of our listeners too! We then jump into Renee getting some pretty sweet memorabilia from the Kentucky Theater for Carrie, Sara going back home and having pastries from the Manchester Bakery, and Carrie eating the best burger she's ever had at Banners. We run down the list of fun holiday markets and festive light events happening this holiday season in Renee's Reports, and Everybody Tries brings us two unusual snacks, including a revamped version of a classic novelty Thanksgiving drink. We read the answers to this week's HINKY Podcast Question and talk about which part of the chicken is better between white meat or dark meat, and spoiler: it's the dark meat. When I Dip, You Dip, We Dip!

Hello, ya little dippers! On episode 65 of HINKY (not episode 66 like some ding dong said on the show), the gang dips into some fun stuff! We start out the show by trying a non-alcoholic bourbon from Australia, which went over just as well as one would think in the historic Bourbon Room at Fort Lewis studios. We also talked about the end of daylight savings time, the kind soul who found Sara's lost wallet, eating vegan food on the way to the Louisville Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, and going to various craft fairs. Renee talks about all the local places around Lexington that are offering up Thanksgiving dinners to go and she tells us about some other exciting food news from around town. We play a game of Dorito's Roulette in Everybody Tries, as well as celebrate Lexington Pizza Week by trying a slice from LaRosa's Pizza. We round out the show by talking about the Podcast Question and thinking of other dip scenarios besides the one posed in the social media question, and we tease Renee with the festive treat we have in store for next week's episode. Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
